Participating Project Partners

Current Situation

BIC Bratislava will analyse 2 potential locations for PPP in Trnava and in Bratislava.

  • The Self-Governing Region of Trnava is situated in the western part of the Slovak republic and is, regarding foreign investment, one of the three most attractive regions. 3.9% of all foreign investment in the Slovak Republic takes place here. The location in Trnava is the future Regional Technology Centre. The owner of the object, which is actually out of use, is the City of Trnava.
  • The Bratislava Self-Governing Region is situated in the west-southwest part of Slovakia. Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, is the seat of the Bratislava Region. The region economically is the best performing region in Slovakia and generates approximately 26 % of the country’s GDP. The Technical University in Bratislava is owner of the buildings on site for the future Technology Centre Bratislava. Parts of the buildings which are out of use have to be reconstructed.

General objective of the project is to analyse PPP matters in Slovakia and to develop proposals for concrete PPP actions with focus on economic support infrastructure (e.g. technology centres in Trnava and Bratislava).

BIC Bratislava will prepare feasibility studies for the two sites in Trnava and Bratislava including following aspects:

  • legal frame;
  • private partners acquisition plan;
  • marketing; services; financial plan;
  • time schedule

This feasibility studies will be used to run preparation and implementation by a PPP. In the same time the studies will be used to acquire structural funds for the public side.
